SET UP YOUR COMIC PULL LIST WITH BRAINSTORM!
Q. How many titles do I need to sign up for to get the discount?
A. There is no minimum number of titles to qualify for the 10% discount. You can have 1 title or 300 titles. You can request a single issue, a particular story arc or even any titles by a certain writer or artist.
We keep our orders very tight with the intention of selling out as soon as possible. All we ask is that you keep your list updated and keep us informed as to what you want pulled. The easiest way to do that is through the ComiXology website. Details on that are further down this page.

Q. What other perks come with a Brainstorm subscription service?
A. All of our comics are bagged and boarded for free. You also get the 10% discount on back issues, statues, busts, tees, games, posters and action figures. The only things we do NOT offer the discount on are trades, variants (which are already cheaper than many places) and comic packs. If you meet the requirements, you can also rent movies here.

Q. How often do I have to come in and pick up my subscriptions?
A. At least once every 30 days. We have so many subscribers that our storage space can fill up very quickly. Without regular subscriber pickups we can end up holding thousands of dollars worth of inventory that has been held specifically by request. If a box has not been cleared out within 30 days, we reserve the right to sell anything out of your file, regardless of whether it can be reordered or not. 

Q. Can I add merchandise other than comics to my list?
A. Yes. The only thing that we ask is that merchandise other than comics and trades be purchased within 30 days of the date we received it. If the pre-order cost of the merchandise is over $100 we will require a 50% deposit BEFORE the order is placed, especially on items that we would not have ordered before. The deposit is then applied to your account and shows a credit amount which you can use at your discretion.

Q. Can I put items on lay-away?
We do offer a lay-away option that requires 30% down. We ask that you put something towards the lay-away item at least twice a month. The maximum hold time for lay-away is 90 days, or at the very least six payments. If merchandise is not on lay-away and goes past the required 30 day purchase date, it will be put back on the sales floor.

Q. Do I have to update my list in person?
A. No. You can email us your updates and request your list to be emailed to you. Once again, you can always set up your list on ComiXology and link it up to our store. Any changes you make to your list on that site will be emailed to us on a daily basis.

Q. Do I have to prepay for my books before they’re ordered?
A. No. We do not require that you prepay for your subscriptions before they are ordered.


Q. Do I have to put down a deposit?
A. We have a new and different take on the idea of deposits. If you put down $50 to $150, essentially prepaying for your books up to that amount, we will give you an extra 5% off each invoice until that deposit is gone. Put down over $150 and we’ll give you an extra 10% off each invoice until that deposit amount is used up.

Q. Do I have to put a credit card on file?
A. We only ask this of our customers who take longer than 30 days to pick up their subscriptions.

Q. How often do you charge my subscriptions to my credit card?
A. We generally charge books to the credit card on file bi-weekly, but definitely once a month at the very least.

Q. If I’m on a budget, can I have a specific amount charged each time?
A. Yes. We can ring through as little as $25.00 every two weeks. You let us know what you can afford and that is what we’ll ring up.

Q. What if my credit card is declined or expired?
A. We’ll contact you for an updated card. If we need to revise your membership at that time, we can work with you on those details.

Q. Can you send my comics to me?
A. Yes. We have a number of mail order customers and we've sent books as far away as China. We ship via Parcel Post, unless the rates are comparable to Priority Mail. Larger orders are sent using the Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes. For more information on those rates go to the USPS web site.

Q. What if I don’t put a deposit down, don’t have a credit card and I take longer than 30 days to pick up my books?
A. First of all, we will ALWAYS tell you that your file will be pulled BEFORE we do it. We will call you about your file if you haven't been in for over 30 days. We will give you a specific date when we need to have you come in, generally a week or so from that call. If you still haven’t come in by the deadline, generally 45 days from your last visit, we will stop pulling books for you. If we still haven’t seen you by 60 days from your last visit, we will pull your file, and return all your books to the shelf.
We will make a list of what was returned to the shelf and note that on your account. 

Q. If that happens and my file gets pulled, can I set up my subscription service again?
A. Yes, but we will require a regular deposit or a credit card on file. At the point where your file has gone past 30 days since your last pick up, we will ring those books through and hold them in your file.

COMIXOLOGY
Want to have more control over your pull list? Then set it up on 
www.comixology.com and then link it to our store. I get an email daily with all updates made the day before. It's really simple.

1. When you go to the website you'll need to register for the free account.
2. Then you'll get an email asking you to confirm your registration.
3. Once that is confirmed, you can start building your list.
4. To add something as a regular pull, hit the 'Subscribe' button. If you can't find a particular title, go to the Power Search in the upper right hand corner.
5. To add just a certain issue, hit the 'Pull' button.
6. To link your list to Brainstorm, type in the 60622 zip code in the Shop Locator.
7. Locate the listing for Brainstorm in the list and click on the link.
8. Choose the 'Connect' button on the left, fill out the subscriber agreement form and you're done!

To confirm that it took, when you log into the site under your username click on the SETTINGS link. This takes you to a page EDIT YOUR PROFILE where you'll choose SETTINGS...under that is RETAILER CONNECTION...it should list Brainstorm there. Then you'll know it's done.
